The Glowworm Motel at Waitomo is the nearest accommodation to the famous Glowworm Caves. This is another scenic location for New Zealand motels and guests can go on tours of the caves and visit the cave museum. There are six studio units, two family units and one three bedroom cottage, each with a fully equipped kitchen, shower, electric blankets and television. The surrounding countryside offers black water rafting, rock climbing and horse trekking. Guests can also visit the local waterfalls and a native bird park.
